Sri Venkateswara Temple - Sydney

The Sri Venkateswara Temple Association was formed on 17th November 1978 in Sydney and funds were quickly raised to build this beautiful and stunningly detailed temple for Sri Venkateswara in Helensburgh, Sydney, Australia - one of the famous abodes of Lord Venkateswara and who is held in veneration by all his devotees. It is the largest Temple of its kind in the southern hemisphere. 

 

Today, the Temple is a House of Light, providing spiritual guidance and solace for the widely spread community of Hindusin Australia. 

 

Hinduism is the world's third most popular religion, with around 750 million followers. The religion of Hinduism originated in Northern India, near the river Indus, about 4,000 years ago and is the world's oldest existing religion. Hinduism is practiced by more than 80% of India's population. 

 

Installation Overview

 

Four EasiPos Point of Sale terminals were installed by Omni Systems. Two of which handle the receiving of donations and the sale of offerings in the main Temple hall. In the Temple canteen, two EasiPos terminals fully automate the ordering process. iPads are used as mobile ordering stations during festivals, events and busy periods.
